The Villa d'Este in Tivoli, with its palace and garden, is one of the most remarkable and comprehensive illustrations of Renaissance culture at its most refined.The garden was designed by artist and architect Pirro Ligorio, and completed by Alberto Galvani.
There will be many stairs to climb and lots of walking is needed to get a good look of the architecture of this huge villa.
